Deuces wild...still fooling around with ink staining and I'm liking unprimed canvas because it absorbs the ink and spreads slowly. I'm using 70% rubbing alcohol to "spread and thin" the ink. Getting the "halo effect" that I want and the gradient pigment.
I'm going to try to add some glycelrine to raw alcohol to see if I can extend the drying time. Going to try to use that mixture like water on paper and then using watercolors and see if I can get the same effect.
Next step is to work on much larger unprimed canvas to get a more dramatic response. Meanwhile this is on 16" x22" unprimed canvas with alcohol inks and graphite. Titled , "Embrace
