New work-new media...Arnhem printing paper 22"x30" with Speedball Block Printing Ink= Heaven. I am over the moon with just how perfect these images turned out. I hope you enjoy them. Thank you for looking.

                                                                "Red Bamboo"

                                                            "Blue Bamboo"

                                                        "Black Bamboo"

Unfortunately, the photos do not capture the luminescence created by the layers of ink. I hope to find a home for them as a triptych because side by side by side, these pieces sparkle.

Almost forgot this piece and is worth looking at. Lulu came back from one of her workshops and was talking about working with "clay dyes" and it piqued my interest and it turns out that these dyes were in fact the basis of the original medium used in "The Cave Paintings" and are a result of naturally occuring oxides in clay/earth.

My beloved gifted me a glorious set of these for our anniversary. I've used them on paper and was pleased with the depth of tone and was curious as to how they would react to unprimed canvas. So, to expedite

the staining effect, I mixed them with alcohol and this is the result. 36"x36" unprimed canvas with clay dyes mixed with alcohol. Titled: "Jack In The Cave."
