Monday March 25th- Happy Birthday to my beloved nephew, Che. First day of Spring Break and I hope to get into the studio. I did do some painting over the week-end and the three images below show the "evolution" of a painting:

This is the first "draft" of "Tropicale"

This the second "draft." I wasn't happy with it and let it "sit" for a few hours and then went "back at it." See below for final version.

Tues. March 12th

The promise of eminent Spring was hinted at today and it can't come soon enough. Got to work on a couple of pieces and reconsidered another one that caught my eye. Prepping for a show April 12th. Will post details later this week.

Wasn't sure about this, initially, and it spoke to me tonight and reminded me of fields of zinnias that grow in our backyard during the summer early fall.

This one is tentatively called "Color Frequencies." Still needs more color depth. Needs to dry some more.

Had the opportunity to work last night and add more to drying works and shape up "Untitled." I think "Spanish Horses" is finished.

The small canvas is 16"x24' and is the study piece I create to see if the colors work and then move to the larger size- in this case 3ft x 4ft- title is "Dion & The Belmonts."

This is, I think, finished- "Spanish Horses" 3ft x 4ft

March 3rd and it's snowing here in HoosierLand. I have a couple of canvas' that are in raw stages waiting to dry so here are pix of my beloved studio.

Sketches of "Grotesque"

Running out of wall space to hang images.

There's a window ( and a very nice one) behind all the images
